A fine Senneh rug characterized by a medallion and pendants pattern, placed within an indigo blue cartouche layered over a coral pink background. The composition is completely filled by the so-called herati pattern, which consists of a repeating unit of four small stylized leaves sprouting from a central rosette. This Persianate design was used throughout the near east, as it became extremely popular in the West, where it was labeled 'the Gentleman's pattern'.
